The highest social class during the Islamic Golden age was a Muslim Arab, they payed the least amount of taxes and had more privileges. The second highest class was the Muslim non-Arabs, they had to pay more taxes than the Muslim Arab. After that was the "people of the book" they were the Jews and the Christians. They name "people of the Bible" came from their faith off of the bible. The lowest class was the slaves.

The Abbasid armies spread more people came under Islamic control. Arabic became Islam's official language and it spread. With the expansion of Islamic control and the spread of the language, trade increased.

Medicine:
Al- Razi was a very famous doctor, he wrote over 200 books on medicine. He also wrote about diseases like small pox. He was also a surgeon.  
Art:
Floral and vine designs on pottery or buildings were very in during the Islamic golden age.

Paper:
Paper quickly spread through the empire because, the Chinese had a new process of making paper faster and more efficient. The Government was the first to use paper before it spread to everyone else. Soon stores began to make paper books and paper was also used as a form of credit (a check).
